Getting Weird in Wyoming – the Mishawaka Manager Retreat 2018

In an effort to continually improve our business, Mishawaka managers retreated to the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the end of 2018. Dani Grant and Matt Hoeven, the owners of the Mishawaka, assembled the heads of all the various departments (both venue and restaurant) to discuss how and why we do what we do.  Ideas were bounced, bread was broken, and fun was had.

After a long day of discussing financials and visioning for the future, we would down with a happy hour at the Crown Bar.

After that, the bosses took us to Ernie November where they  generously purchased each of us a record of our choosing. Seriously, how cool is that? For those of us who don’t work together often, it was a great way to get to know each other better.  Huge thanks to Ernie November for staying open late just for us!

Our record shopping excursion was followed by an incredible steak dinner at Wyoming Rib and Chop House.  After dinner many of us made our way back to the Crown Bar for some more bonding (drinking).

The second and final day of our retreat was spent at the very hip “Second Floor at the Paramount”, a brand new coworking spot above a popular coffee shop.  Our meeting room was filled with photos of hipster presidents, which both inspired and entertained us.
