Ansel Watrous ~.9 miles from Mishawaka

First campground you come to as you drive up the Cache la Poudre Canyon on Highway 14. Look for it on the right side of the road. The campground is 12 miles west of the junction of Highways 14 and 287. The campsites are more suitable for tents although some will accommodate smaller RVs. Reservations are accepted for campsites.

Stove Prairie Campground ~2.9 miles 

Stove Prairie Campground is located on the Cache la Poudre River, 26 miles northwest of Fort Collins, in north central Colorado. Visitors enjoy the area for its great rafting, fishing and hiking opportunities. Reservations and walk in sites available.

The Armstrong Hotel ~24 miles

Glen Echo Resort ~18 miles

Glen Echo’s amenities include; a convenience store, restaurant, lounge, and liquor store. There are 17 camping cabins, 2 mobile homes and 1 penthouse. The resort offers 80 RV sites and 16 basic tent sites, some are accessed by crossing a bridge to an island that is a part of the resort. There is a bath house centrally located amongst these sites on the mainland. There is an outdoor events pavilion and playground. This all sits along the scenic Cache La Poudre River.

Archer’s Poudre River Resort ~ 19 miles 

Open all year. Located along the Cache La Poudre River along Colorado Highway 14. Studio, one, two and four bedroom log cabins, full service RV sites and tent sites. All cabins are modern with heat, bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, linens and DVD/TV with satellite. A hot tub, group picnic area and large fire pit area are centrally located for our guests to use.

Mountain Park Campground is located on the Cache la Poudre River, 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colo., along Highway 14. Visitors enjoy the area for its great rafting, fishing and hiking opportunities.

Pingree Park ~15 miles

Dispersed camping. On the Pingree Park Road, there is no dispersed camping after Camman Springs with the exception of some side roads. Brown Lake road goes a long ways and has the most free camping. No facilities or water though, so in either direction, come prepared. Not much fishing.

Take 287 north out of Fort Collins and turn left on Highway 14 at Teds Place. Continue approximately 15 miles west on Highway 14 Poudre Canyon Hwy to The Mishawaka Amphitheatre then continue west past the Mish on Highway 14 for about 12 miles until you see the sign for Pingree Park Road. Turn left and cross over the bridge, then continue up the road for about half a mile.

Bellaire Campground ~ 17 miles

Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue north on 287 to Livermore. Travel west on 74E for 27 miles to County Road 162. Turn left and go 2.5 miles to the campground turnoff. Turn right and travel about a mile to the campground entrance on the left side of the road.

CanyonSide Campground is a family owned and operated campground located in the beautiful scenic Poudre Canyon, across from the Cache La Poudre River. This is Colorado’s nationally designated WILD AND SCENIC river. We have five fully furnished cabins, ten RV sites with full hook ups and a large tenting area. Your canyon experience includes dramatic scenery and outstanding recreational opportunities such as, white water rafting, kayaking, fly fishing and horseback riding. There are also miles of hiking and ATV trails.

Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on 287 north to Livermore. Turn west on 74E for 25 miles to Red Feather Lakes and the turn off. Turn right and travel .5 miles to the entrance. Turn right into the campground.
